capes but diffent

So i was trying to find ways to get custom capes so i had found this video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wiETpObFJEg so when i had finsh watching the video this method works 1.12.0 but in 1.13.0 it broke my skin making it invisible so i was wondering if you can fox that
