Empty bucket not working as expected with waterlogged blocks

empty bucket on waterlogged blocks will not remove water when cursor is on adjacent blocks, although this works with standard water and in Java edition.

water can be removed when directly looking at the block, have to shift-click to work on interactive blocks

maybe related to ~~MC-127110~~?
