iOS Ipad - Latest Update 1.13.0 will not load (white screen).

I am aware others may have reported this, but have not seen anything from Mojang. My son updated Minecraft to the latest version - 1.13.0 on 10/30/2019. Ever since then, Minecraft will not start. It stops at a white screen and then the app closes. The update to Minecraft works on my Android phone and Amazon kindle. Will the bug on the Ipad be addressed?
