Game crashes in the End dimension

twice now since the 1.13 update I have ventured into the End and the game has frozen before crashing to the Xbox dashboard. Upon rebooting the game any items I had when the game froze/crashed remain where I was when the freeze/crash happened, similar to a death, despite not having died.
