Going in Chat Mode places the block you're holding

What I expected to happen was...:
I thought going in Chat Mode wouldn't place the block

What actually happened was...:
The block got placed in Chat Mode!

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Chat Mode
2. ... You're block is placed!
