iPad 9.3.5 fails to launch

iOS 9.3.5 last update on the 29th (1.13) appears to stalled the game, we get a title screen, white screen then nothing

Tried rebooting iPad, and wifi no differnce.

Do not want to uninstall as this will cause my son to lose his worlds.
