When I put smooth stone into the stone cutter or the crafting table it gives me the options to make it into andesite,granite and diorite or any of its other forms.

I put smooth stone into the crafting table and it let me turn it into all the other type of stones and its variants like the walls and polished variants.I'm aware you can turn stone into the other types of stones with a specific recipe but I didnt need quarts or anything.
