Pilligers spawning at my base

I am nowhere near a pilliger tower, the closest one is maybe 1500 blocks away, and the village I set my base up next to has been empty for months, but now since the update I randomly get pilligers spawning at my base. I think this update really messed things up for the game I've had nothing but problems since it took effect.
