Minecraft won't load since Oct. 29 update

On an old Ipad.  Since the Oct. 29, 2019 update, the Minecraft app won't open. It goes to mojang logo page then white screen then kicks out of app. Have deleted the app and reinstalled but still not working.  Tried resetting the ipad.  Still doesn't work. Ipad has current update.
