Same Skin when joining others worlds

I just got the new 1.13 update on Minecraft PE, and me and my brother usually play together on each others worlds. When my brother came onto my world, he had the same skin as me. We were confused, and tried everything to resetting our devices, joining his world, changing skins, nothing worked. We just have to ignore it now, but it's quite annoying looking over at my brothers character and seeing it a girl. Thank you for your time
