2 villages with 128 blocks distance treated as 1

everywhere i read it says that if your villages are 128 blocks apart then they are 2 different villages, well its not the case anymore after the update for me at least. i had created 2 villages in the previous version but now villagers in 1 village are able and lock on the workbenches of the other village that is 128 blocks away!
