Can't play Minecraft because It says "You're selected skin is still loading" and never actually loads.

When I go into Minecraft I can't go into a server or world because it says "You're selected skin is still loading" and it never loads in. (I'm not quite sure which type of Minecraft it is because all it says is "Minecraft".)
