Dissapearing Items Bug

I was minding my own business, when I clicked off of the tab of Minecraft windows 10 Edition to watch a video on how to enchant. Normal mode had been left on. I knew that if I were to die I would respawn and be able to pick up my items even though I died. I knew they would not disappear except if you were super far away from your items when you die or in the ocean far away becuase that would be ridiculous. I did not leave the game or go back to menu when I died. I had been off of the tab for at least 7 minutes. I dont know when I died but I knew where I died. It had been near my house just at the enterance. I clicked the respawn button and I went down to the enterance of my house. All of my items had dissapeared, I was furious becuase it took me 4 weeks to make (A Full set of Enchanted; Diamond Armor, Diamond Sword, Diamond Pickaxe, and books. I would really appreciate it if you would take a look at that or at least fix it so that Minecraft wont be 1000x more frustrating than it is right now.
