1.13 update problems

I recently downloaded the 1.13 update for mcpe and I have not been able to play the game. I get past the mojang screen but then it takes me to a blank white screen and shortly kicks me out. I have tried powering off and I have even reinstalled. However when I reinstall it is on the 1.12 update not 1.13 which is strange. I should be able to have 1.13 as my device is still compatible. Please can someone help me as I don't want to miss such a revolutionary update.

P.S I do not have a pirated version of the game
