realm won't open on my iPad mini IOS 9.3.5

Every time I try to open the world it glitches and kicks me out without bringing up the minecraft logo, my friend has the same iPad and the same thing happened to him when he tried to go in after updating , is there anyway I can use an older version to play minecraft??
