Constant crashing whenever using multiplayer servers.

I have currently been using the multiplayer servers available on minecraft windows 10. However everytime I log into one after one game or instantly, it crashes. It either crashes to the home screen or the whole system shuts down. This is extremely frustrating. I have only seemed to have this problem today (31st October 2019) and I believe it may have something to do with the new update for minecraft. I have tried everything to see whether it is my laptop or not and it isn't. I am fully up to date on everything and have tried restarting my laptop. please sort it out
