Can’t connect with friends

I am disappointed to say I am unable to connect with anyone it keeps telling me to connect to WiFi when I clearly have I have tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling it but it seems to not to work at all I have switched my setting to WiFi and cellular to be able to play without WiFi as well but it didn’t seem to help anyways I have seen that my friends cannot see that I am online only I can see if they are in their worlds but it seems as if tho I never even opened the app I’m not sure if I am missing something or maybe I didn’t press something I was supposed to but I wish to see if anyone can solve the issue or try to help I have never had any issues with the app until the update
