Ghasts don't disappear in peaceful

So me and my friend were playing on his survival world but the ghasts would have exploded parts of the rails we put in the nether so I asked him to put it on peaceful, Yet there still were ghasts, luckily not attacking. But they still were there and were moving and killable. Not really high priority bug but still a bug.
