Nintendo Switch Pro Controller Disconnects Upon Opening Game

I recently updated to the newest version and upon opening, my pro controller disconnects completely. Before this update I could play with my pro controller with no issue. Now it refuses to stay connected while in game. No other game is affected besides Minecraft. My controller is fully charged and I have restarted my console multiple times and it has not resolved itself. It happens both when docked and undocked, and I posted about it on the reddit page and a bunch of others were experiencing the same issue.
