Purple Dirt, Orange Texture Crafting Table, Mining Weird

Started a new world on Xbox One S, saw a new purple block but when mined it was just dirt.  The blocks stay purple.  When I created a crafting table, it has a weird orange texture.  Also, when mining any blocks there is a weird texture.
