I was wondering why kelp when in a hopper doesn't go into the furnace, I'm playing on the iPad pro

I have a chest with a hopper under it that leads to a furnace. The items get stuck in a hopper and doesn't go into the furnace/s input but can manually. Just wondering if you can change the hopper coding so kelp can enter the furnace with a hopper
