Can't get Minecraft windows 10 edition after buying java after October 18 2018

I just installed windows java edition before windows 10 edition because when I went to Minecraft.net it only showed the java version, but I wanted the windows 10 edition so I could play with my friends on xbox. After doing many videos on how to claim windows 10 after buying java edition I realized it would only work if you bought java BEFORE October 18 2018. Right now I'm kind of fuming because I wanted windows 10 and trusted the website to at least give me an option to get a refund or something so I can go to the right play and get the right edition but it won't give me the option to at least buy windows 10 edition or get a refund somewhere.
