Game keeps crashing and disappearing items

Game keeps crashing, its just crashed again, logged back in and its deleted 36 diamonds that I'd put back in a chest along with a fortune 3 pickaxe and now they've all disappeared and are not in the chest I put them in or in my inventory. NOT HAPPY.
