Software closed because an error occurred. Unplayable on any account even new saves.

Currently Minecraft is the only unplayable game on our Switch.  When launching, see the black Switch "click" animation, then a white screen, then it crashes with [!] Software closed because an error occurred.  There are 3 users on this switch, same behavior on all accounts.  Tried creating a new user - this one shows the Mojang splash screen, then tries to start the menu screen but then crashes with the same error screen.  Running physical media.  Tried deleting software and redownloading, no good.  Tried buying form eshop and running without chip, same issue.  Tried removing SD card and deleting SW to force install on system memory, same issue.  ALL other SW on this switch is working perfectly (this is a brand new V2 switch updated to latest 1.9.1).  Minecraft is the ONLY SW not working, and it is affecting ALL users, so I suspect something systemic is going on.
