Water Bucket Pickup Lag/Freeze

So whenever I drop water out o bucket onto lava just for a quick second to make a mini path without letting the water spread farther, there is a second of lag when I want to pickup the water again the second I drop water making it lag/freeze allowing the water to spread (same issue on my sister's Nintendo Switch). I noticed however on Windows 10 (PC) that there is no lag whatsoever and I can pickup water instantly second after second by not holding the button but rapidly clicking and I also plugged in Xbox One controller to check and there was no lag either (the same applies for mobile touchscreen and controller extension). It appears to be a console issue on Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
