Xbox friends cant join my world and neither do I

Good afternoon, i bought this game so i can play it even when my friend and I are not from the same wifi. unfortunately there is a problem on connecting to the worlds of xbox friends. he also had the same issue. i tried to look it up at the internet unfortunately nothing can help me. can you please help me?
