Sugar canes can't be placed

When i tried to put sugar canes on the ground I:

expected to happen was...:
There should be sugar canes on the ground

What actually happened was...:
The game crashed

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Take sugar canes in your hand
2. Place it near water
