Game froze and deleted everything in my inventory during ender dragon fight.

I was about a minute into a fight with the ender dragon with my friend and the game completely froze. We waited for a few minutes hoping it would pass but when it didn't we force closed the game and started it back up. When I loaded in I was back at my house and every last item in my inventory was gone. End game enchanted armor, weapons, everything. This is extremely infuriating considering this was a world for all of our friends and we've put a lot of time into it and now we're basically having to start from scratch.
