Minecraft keeps crashing and won't load after starting it

Whenever I start Minecraft on my Nintendo Switch, I'm stuck at a black screen for 2 or 3 minutes, and then when the title screen shows, the game crashes, so now I can't play Minecraft at all anymore.  My friend doesn't have the issue at all.
