Other players can't see the hand shaking animation

When I click the L button (Xperia Play), the same thing should happen as when left mouse clicking in PC Minecraft (Steve's hand shaking - "destroying air"). But only I can see it shake, my friends, playing multiplayer on my world, can't see that. When THEY click the L button, they can see it, but I can't.
