Enable Minecraft on Chromebooks

Why aren't Chromebooks compatible with Minecraft from the play store? I bought the game from the playstore and I expect to be avaliable on a device that uses playstore as defualt, my chromebook. This makes no sense and I won't play for Java edition nor root my chromebook. It used to be avaliable and im sure they can bring it back.
