Traders Llama leash not attached to Llama and randomly moving

Leashes were not attached to Llama and were floating with one end freely moving through the ground layer and other end approximately 2 player heights (4 blocks) above ground and not attached to anything. Leashes appeared to follow player movement for short distance.
