if i create a portal in overworld it sync at the same portal in nether

I created an portal in overworld and another in nether at the overworld coordinates divided by 8 and they dont work properly.the one that i created in overworld connected with my home portal . Please solve it. I spent a long time to figure out whats wrong and is very annoying.
