Anvil XP cost text unreadable

When using an anvil, it is near impossible to read the xp cost for combining items. It is bright yellow against an off-white background. Maybe it is because my brightness is turned up because I have problems seeing. On Java edition there is a darkened area around XP cost to make it more readable.
