Leaf decay/difficult to place

Leaves decay when anything is broken around them (i.e. other leaves) rather than when the wood is broken and will continue to decay as if the tree was taken down when it wasn't.

Potentially related:  Can't place anything on leaves in the first attempt (the placed item disappears).
