Trapdoors cannot be placed

i've it as Version 0.7.4 as even tho its not realesed yet on all devices, amazon cleared it faster then jeb thought, so i have 0.7.4. so im not sure if this is a bug in 0.7.4 or a bug carried over from 0.7.3
What I expected to happen was...:
Be Able to place a trapdoor

What actually happened was...:
Nothing Happen just started digging as if hand was empty

Steps to Reproduce:
Go to survival, place a trapdoor, it doesnt work
