Zombies are breaking iron doors

Zombies are able to break down my iron doors. I am playing in hard mode, survival.  In a woodland mansion I allowed a villager zombie and a regular zombie to chase me into one of the jail cells in the mansion, I then locked him in behind the iron door. Both times the zombies were able to break through the iron door to come at me.
