Cats turn invisible when tamed

Tried taming 3 cats on my realm i play on my ipad.  All 3 turned invisible except their collars and an outline of their face immediately after taming them on 2 separate real life days.  Looked up “cats tame invisible” and didn’t see anything similar.  Have restarted minecraft and my ipad.
