Armor fall damage

I was wearing undamaged iron armor and I fell off a cliff (on peaceful difficulty) and I took fall damage. When I looked at my armor it was damaged. I then created new iron armor and jumped off the cliff again and the same thing happend.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Craft armor
2. Wear it and take fall damage
3. Look at the durribility of your armor
