Out of data storage space... On a PC with many TB of space!!

I have a world approaching 1gb in size and now the game is very slow and then keeps crashing either back back to Windows or with the message in the screen shot below. Sometimes the world will not load, other times it will and crashes as above.

I have also found the following error - see screenshot
