Skin can't change

So I've been having this problem on Minecraft Bedrock Nintendo Switch where I can't change my skin, it's stuck on a skin that's a warrior with a red cape and can't change. When I try to change my skin, it says "Error" and the game crashes and closes. I've tried changing it in the menu, on a server, in a world, and on a realm. And every time it says "Error". I'm ruuninr on the current 1.12 version and it's been happening since 1.11.3...
