Iron golem attacks me

i hit an iron golem on accident on peaceful and nothing happened like usual then later I went in to easy and a iron golem popped up out of nowhere and I didn’t summon him or live by a village so I didn’t know why he hit me so I let him kill me then he tried to do it again and I killed him and went into peaceful and hen popped up again and did it again then I killed him.

this has occurred many times and I did the same thing even if I was in peaceful he would do it
