When in a multiplayer game there are no double chests and they don't make the open close sound

When on a local multiplayer world the chests connect to make a double chest but HOWEVER when you open the chest up it only shows up as a normal chest
Also there is no sound for opening a chest up it does a animation but no sound. Also if the host of the game makes a double chest it only shows up as a normal chest.
