I cannot enter my friend's world when I am in the end

I am in an end city, 7000 blocks from 0, 0 in the end. I log off while in this end city, and the next day, when I try to log on, the world is stuck on "locating server." i have waited for over 30 minutes, and have even tried loading the end while trying to log in.
