Minecraft PE Not Loading on Initial Screen

Hello!

Just today I installed Minecraft: PE on my phone because I had a little cash left over and said, "Why not?" It's been about 15 minutes and the menu hasn't loaded in. The bar isn't frozen, though. Does my device not meet specifications? It said it was compatible on the Play Store. Device is a Moto G Play.
