Crash caused by sticky piston and carpet

In my friend's realm, every time I activate a sticky piston with a carpet attached to it, my Xbox freezes for a minute before closing Minecraft. This also happens when the piston is deactivated. This issue was not occurring just for me, but the other member of the realm.
