None of my controls are showing up in Minecraft PE for me

So I was playing in PE and when I was playing I couldn't see any of my controls so like the chat button in the settings button the movement button the jump button in the items bar everything was just gone so I tried to join a new World but it still didn’t work and I did this five times and I also created new worlds. So please fix this so I can play again properly.
