Greek Mythology Mashup locked on creative mode

When I launch Greek Mythology Mashup it launches in creative mode and I can't change it. I have tried three times to launch in survival mode to no avail. The default mode is survival but my personal mode is locked to personal. I was hoping to play this pack in survival mode to see if it was any good before purchasing the Norse version.
