Text Formatting and Written Books - \n not working

The \n text formatting command does not work on android mobile bedrock. Instead of the intended behavior of the fomatting command displaying a line feed, it just displays the \n characters itself in written book.

This is extremely frustrating for mobile users who already are at  disadvantage when it comes to book editing. I would love it this would get some attention as I cut and paste text at times to save time. Having to go back and add carriage returns manually is it a nightmare.
