/particle doesn't summon particles

When ever I try to use the /particle command, nothing happens.

I only found this out since I used the command before 1.12 and would work perfectly fine, but now when ever i try to use it, it does nothing. I first tried to debug my command block by using another command and would work perfectly fine, but whenever it uses the /particle tt does the same thing and doesn't work, I then tried doing /particle using the chat and wouldn't work. I also tried to use both example and normal particles and still not working
